Design Privacy

Brand Strategy
THE SUMMARY

Data Privacy done differently.

THE CHALLENGE

Selling Something People Need but Can’t See. A category leader in a space most companies weren't aware of.

Design Privacy set out to build Jamaica's first Data Protection Officer as a service company. The timing was right. Privacy laws were being updated and enforced across the region, and the need for expert guidance was real. The difficulty was communicating a value that stays invisible until something goes wrong.

As the premier data privacy firm in the Caribbean, they needed a brand strategy that could help them speak clearly to the market and importantly, help the team internally cement how they wanted to represent their role in the space. They had cycled through iterations of who they were, and finally found a fit. The next question was, how do we go public about privacy

THE SOLUTION

Decoding the vision, mission, and positioning as a team.

We ran a brand strategy workshop with the Design Privacy team, working through their vision, their mission, and the position they wanted to hold in the market. What emerged was a high impact frame. They exist for a safer future, and their contribution is to create safer companies for people to do business with. A mission we could certainly be inspected to support.

That clarity became the foundation for the language, the message, and the way they now describe themselves and the work they do.

THE RESULTS

Common Language, uncommon proposition

From events to pitches to the website, the message is uniform and unique.

The strategy now shapes how Design Privacy shows up across every channel. Their event presence (they host numerous DPO workshops) carries the new positioning. Their website language has been updated to reflect it. And internally, the team uses it as shared code when pitching services to companies, giving every conversation the same clarity and conviction.

The result is a firm that is not only building awareness of a critical and emerging space in Jamaica, but shaping how that safety in a digital world is understood and valued.
