Author and creator Sabrina K. Marshall developed the delightful book series "Tunda & Onyx" featuring 2 loveable pups in a fun and colorful world of adventure.
Seeing an opportunity to expand this universe, Sabrina collaborated with producers Debbie Stephens and Juha Fiilin to develop a Jamaica-inspired animated series.
As a Jamaican based production team with a passion for cultural content, contributing to this project was right up our alley. This was a delightful opportunity to deliver high-quality illustrated backgrounds and character animations that resonate with the DNA of Jamaica.
The ListenMi team worked closely with Sabrina and partners to transform their animatic and character designs into a lively animated trailer. Guided by the director’s vision, we refined character designs, built rigs, and crafted beautiful Jamaican-inspired scenery.
Each stage of the process involved using authentic cultural references and executing high-quality animations. We sought to infuse creative intention into every frame to capture the essence and energy of the colourful story.
The result was a trailer that effectively reflected the vibrant narrative of "Tunda & Onyx," bringing the adventure-prone pups to life in a way that resonates with the spirit of Jamaican culture. The sky’s the limit for this amazing project!
