'Monetary policy setting and regulation.' Not the sexiest of topics. Yet the Central Bank of Jamaica needed the average Jamaican to not only be aware of its inflation policy, but also to understand how their purchasing habits impact the policy's success.
We helped them achieve this by iconifying their alter ego as their first digital spokesperson 'Croc O. Doyle.' We designed him by recreating the croc in the BOJ's coat of arms and taking it 'from logo to mojo.' Here are some results!
High engagement from people locally and overseas alike on Twitter, including their best performing thread to date. To help increase the reach and impressions of their conversations, we also designed and created a custom pack of timeless Croc o Doyle memes and gifs. People noticed.
Increased Brand Affinity. His sleek design piqued followers' interest and as an unintended consequence, they fell in love with him. We helped roll out more content describing Croc's character, his family life and his backstory. Followers were captivated by the story, bookmarked, shared, and importantly understood how their actions connected to high and low inflation.
